Laundry Attendant

Duties

• Operate laundry machines including washers, dryers, and specialty equipment such as dry cleaning units to process linens and garments efficiently.
• Sort, fold, and organize clean laundry for distribution throughout the hotel or facility.
• Inspect items for stains, damages, or irregularities; perform stain removal or notify management of issues requiring special attention.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards within the laundry area by regularly cleaning equipment and workspaces.
• Assist with inventory management by tracking supplies, detergents, and cleaning agents to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow proper procedures for handling delicate or valuable items requiring special care such as dry cleaning or gentle washing cycles.
• Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance teams to coordinate laundry schedules and address any equipment malfunctions promptly.

Skills

• Proven experience in laundry services, including use of commercial laundry equipment and techniques.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning procedures, stain removal methods, and fabric care.
• Familiarity with dry cleaning processes and handling delicate textiles with care.
• Previous hotel or hospitality experience is highly desirable to understand guest service standards.
• Excellent attention to detail to ensure all items are thoroughly cleaned, inspected, and properly stored.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high quality standards.
• Good communication skills to coordinate with team members and follow instructions accurately.
