Job Summary
The Maintenance Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the operational efficiency and reliability of equipment and systems within the facility. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining various landscaping, mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to minimize downtime and enhance productivity. The ideal candidate will possess a blend of technical expertise and customer service skills, enabling them to effectively address maintenance issues while collaborating with other departments.
Duties
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on industrial machinery and equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues using tools such as voltmeters and schematics.
- Maintain PTAC and HVAC systems to ensure optimal performance and comfort within the facility.
- Work with low voltage systems safely and effectively, adhering to all safety protocols.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing internal requests promptly and professionally.
- Assist other departments such as office or housekeeping when needed.
- Clean and maintain all public areas of the hotel, including grounds, conference room, lobbies, hallways, pool, patio and cabanas.
Skills
- Mechanical knowledge to understand complex machinery operations.
- Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
- Proficient in using voltmeters and reading schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
- Familiarity with PTAC and HVAC systems, including installation, maintenance, and repair.
- Technical sales experience is a plus for understanding customer needs related to equipment.
- Knowledge of high voltage safety practices is essential for working on related systems.
- Must be able to work in physically demanding work environment.
