What are the responsibilities and job description for the Hotel Facilities Maintenance position at Fairfield Inn & Suites?
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on hotel machinery, equipment, and systems.
- Perform routine pool maintenance and repairs as needed.
- Perform routine preventative maintenance repairs in guest rooms.
- Conduct inspections to identify and resolve issues in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot and repair mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems.
- Utilize CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) to track work orders and document maintenance activities.
- Install / replace parts as needed.
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure efficient operations.
- Provide excellent customer service to all internal and external guests and employees.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 1 year of prior facility maintenance experience with multiple rooms.
- Proven experience in facilities maintenance or a related field.
- Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to read schematics.
- Proficiency in using hand and power tools.
- Basic understanding of electrical systems and ability to perform minor electrical repairs.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Familiarity with logic controllers is preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
- Leadership qualities and ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
