Duties
- Thoroughly clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and replenishing amenities to uphold high standards of hygiene and presentation
- Maintain cleanliness of public areas such as lobbies, hallways, restrooms, and recreational facilities by sweeping, mopping, dusting, and disinfecting surfaces
- Care for floors through appropriate cleaning techniques including carpet cleaning, polishing, and floor care procedures to preserve their appearance and safety
- Restock supplies such as towels, toiletries, linens, and cleaning products to ensure availability for guests and staff
- Report maintenance issues or damages promptly to management to ensure swift resolution and guest safety
- Follow established health and safety protocols at all times to maintain a secure environment for guests and staff
- Assist with laundry duties when necessary, including washing, folding, and organizing linens and uniforms
- Support hotel management with special cleaning projects or deep-cleaning initiatives as needed
Requirements
- Proven experience in cleaning or janitorial roles within hotels or hospitality environments is highly preferred
- Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, floor care methods, and sanitation standards
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment such as vacuums, buffers, carpet cleaners, and other industrial cleaning tools effectively
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards and guest service expectations
- Excellent attention to detail with a proactive approach to maintaining cleanliness standards
- Physical stamina to stand for extended periods, lift heavy objects safely, bend, stretch, and perform repetitive tasks efficiently
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced setting while managing multiple priorities
- Previous experience in housekeeping management or supervisory roles is a plus but not required
