Duties

• Perform comprehensive cleaning duties including dusting, surface cleaning, floor care, carpet cleaning, and sanitation of all rooms and surfaces.
• Implement cleaning and sanitation procedures using appropriate detergents and equipment to ensure a hygienic environment.
• Manage laundry tasks such as washing, drying, folding, and organizing linens and clothing items efficiently.
• Operate cleaning equipment safely and effectively, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, steam cleaners, and janitorial tools.
• Handle manual tasks involving heavy lifting, outdoor work, and moving furniture or supplies with proper techniques to prevent injury.
• Maintain cleanliness of outdoor areas when applicable, including patios, walkways, and entryways.
• Communicate professionally with clients to understand their specific needs and provide personalized housekeeping services.
• Follow time management practices to complete all assigned tasks promptly while maintaining high-quality standards.
• Adhere strictly to health and safety regulations related to cleaning procedures, equipment use, and manual handling.
• Support housekeeping management in organizing schedules, inventory of cleaning supplies, and ensuring consistent service delivery.

Skills

• Proven experience in residential or commercial cleaning environments with janitorial or custodial background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques including dusting, surface sanitation, floor care, carpet cleaning, and outdoor maintenance.
• Familiarity with various cleaning detergents, disinfectants, and eco-friendly products.
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients about their preferences and concerns.
• Ability to operate cleaning equipment safely while maintaining attention to detail in all tasks performed.
• Effective time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently across multiple properties or areas.
• Physical stamina for heavy lifting, manual handling, outdoor work, and prolonged periods of standing or walking.
• Experience in residential housekeeping or hotel housekeeping roles is highly desirable.
• Knowledge of proper sanitation procedures aligned with health standards for both indoor surfaces and outdoor spaces.
