Job Summary
We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated High School Industrial Arts/Technology Education Teacher to inspire students through hands-on learning experiences in various technical and craft disciplines. Duties
- Design and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, incorporating modern learning technology and creative teaching methods.
- Teach a variety of industrial arts and technology courses, including woodworking, metalworking, drafting, robotics, and other hands-on projects.
- Develop curriculum content that integrates core academic skills such as math, literacy education, and science concepts into technical lessons.
- Assess student progress through standardized testing, project evaluations, and formative assessments; provide constructive feedback to support growth.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful environment conducive to learning and experimentation.
- Mentor students by providing guidance on career pathways in industrial arts and technology fields; support their personal development through academic advising.
- Collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and participate in school-wide initiatives.
- Stay current with advancements in learning technology, curriculum development and state standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development related to classroom management, teaching physical education topics within tech courses, or library services for research support.
Pay: $60,265.00 - $79,557.00 per year
