What are the responsibilities and job description for the Business Research Analyst position at Fairfax County Economic Development Authority?
The Fairfax County Economic Development Authority (FCEDA) in Tysons, Virginia seeks a dynamic and highly motivated Business Research Analyst to provide general market research support, conduct selected business research and create publications and other forms of communication for the Market Intelligence (MI) Division; brief staff and other stakeholders on the state of the local/regional economy; provide research to business investment staff involved with prospect servicing; respond to information requests by staff, the public and others; as assigned by the Director, Market Intelligence provide research assistance to other FCEDA program areas; and represent the FCEDA before the business community, the public and others.
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree and one to three years of work experience in a relevant field is required. Experience with and an aptitude for research are necessary. Experience working with federal, regional, and state produced data sets is required. Excellent written and verbal communications skills as well as advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel are required. Experience with Tableau is desirable.
The candidate must satisfactorily complete a criminal background.
This is a full time position with benefits. Salary is $70,000 to $80,000. This position is attached to Fairfax County government for payroll and like all FCEDA positions, is exempt from county civil service rules and regulations.
