About the Role:

The Guest Room Attendant plays a vital role in ensuring that all guest rooms and public areas within the hotel are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and comfort. This position directly impacts guest satisfaction by providing a welcoming and hygienic environment that meets or exceeds the expectations of all visitors. The attendant is responsible for thorough cleaning, restocking supplies, and reporting any maintenance issues to ensure a seamless guest experience. Attention to detail and a proactive approach are essential to uphold the hotel's reputation for excellence. Ultimately, this role contributes significantly to the overall success of the hospitality operation by fostering a positive and inviting atmosphere for every guest.

Minimum Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Previous experience in housekeeping or a similar role preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
• Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and supplies.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in a hotel or hospitality environment.
• Knowledge of safety and sanitation standards in hospitality settings.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English.
• Customer service experience or training.
• Flexibility to work various shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities:

• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, including making beds, dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning bathrooms to ensure a spotless environment.
• Replenish room supplies such as toiletries, towels, and minibar items according to hotel standards.
• Inspect rooms for maintenance issues and report any damages or safety hazards to the appropriate department promptly.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness in public areas such as hallways, lounges, and elevators.
• Respond courteously to guest requests and inquiries, providing assistance or directing them to the appropriate hotel services.

Physical stamina and time management skills are essential to efficiently complete cleaning tasks within allotted timeframes.
