Job Title: Assistant Project Manager/Project Engineer
Reports to: Assigned Project Manager
Responsible for: Assisting Project Manager
Working directly with Project Manager on the following:
- Reviewing and distributing submittals and shop drawings
- Developing requests for Information (RFI’s)
- Maintaining submittal and RFI logs
- Preparing LEED cover sheets, as required
- Assuring filing system is accurately maintained
- Tracking of project changes, material releases and deliveries
- Compiling project closeout documents and certifications necessary for turnover
Working directly with Superintendent on the following:
- Tracking quantities on a daily basis (if full-time on site)
- Compiling T&M sheets on a daily basis
- Onsite procurement of misc. items
- Taking photos/video of existing conditions prior to start of work
In addition to:
- Learning and understanding contract drawings (post all addenda and document changes)
- Understanding project schedule
- Assisting with procurement of minor items
- Assembling change proposals under the direction of the Project Manager
- Keeping open line of communication with Project Manager and Superintendent
- Expediting materials purchased for project
- Compiling all packing lists on the project for office submission (if full-time on site)
- Other tasks as directed by your Project Manager
- Knowledge and Skills Required:
- Associates or Bachelor degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management and/or Project Management preferred
- Knowledge in civil engineering, construction and architectural principles, practices and methods
- Sound understanding of workplace safety, budgeting and employee supervision
- Familiar with construction management software such as: Prolog, MS Project, Excel, Sure Trak
- Proficient in understanding building plans and specifications
- Excellent written, communication, organization, analytical and prioritization skills
- Ability to work well in a fast- paced environment
- OSHA 10 and/or 30
- Qualitative and other attributes required:

Physical Demands:
- Ability to sit at desk for extended periods of time
- Ability to work on computer for extended periods of time
- Ability to bend, squat, climb stairs and lift up to 50lbs
- Ability to drive to job sites
Work Environment:
- May occasionally work in temperatures above 100 or below 32 degrees
- May occasionally walk on slippery or uneven surfaces
- Noise level in the construction work environment is frequently loud
- Required to wear Fahs issued hard hat, safety vest and safety glasses when working on construction site
- Reliable transportation
Hours: This is a full-time position 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
