Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Accountant to lead our accounting department. Overseeing daily financial operations, manage month-end and year-end close processes, ensure compliance with GAAP, and provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage accounting: Oversee general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, payroll, financial reporting and 401k.
- Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Compliance & Tax: Ensure full compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and financial statements.
- Team Leadership: train and supervise accounting staff.
- Process Improvement: Implement operational efficiencies and upgrade financial controls and software systems.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: degree or equivalent experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- Experience: Years of progressive accounting experience
- Technical Skills: Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP / accounting systems.
- Process Improvement: Implement operational efficiencies and upgrade financial controls and software systems.
