What are the responsibilities and job description for the Government & Regulatory Affairs - Trade Remedies Associate (Washington, DC) position at Faegre Drinker?
Faegre Drinker is actively recruiting an associate for its busy and growing Trade Remedies group in the Washington, DC office. Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience handling antidumping and countervailing duty matters before the U.S. Department of Commerce and U.S. International trade Commission in private practice or the U.S. government. Experience should include building the administrative record before the agencies as well as developing legal arguments.
This position will handle complex matters for clients in investigations and reviews before the agencies as well as litigation before the U.S. Court of International Trade and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit. Additionally, associates in the Trade Remedies group can expect to counsel clients in policy matters before the Executive Branch and Congress. Associates also provide legal counsel for managing trade issues and ensuring trade compliance on a broad range of other trade remedy statutes, including Section 232 of the Trade Expansion Act of 1962, Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1930, and the International Emergency Economic Powers Act.

The anticipated initial annual salary range for someone who is hired into this position in the Washington, DC office is $255,000 - $300,000. Compensation for this position in other offices will vary; the anticipated compensation range for other locations is available here.
Actual initial salary will be based on the relevant skills, training, experience, and other job-related factors, including the location of where the position is filled and consistent with applicable law. The initial salary range listed above is just one component of Faegre Drinker's total compensation and benefits package for attorneys, which includes, but is not limited to, productivity and discretionary bonuses; life, health, accident and disability insurance; and a 401(k) plan.
