COMPANY OVERVIEW:
Facility Contract Services (FCS) is a Florida-based contract services company that employs and manages personnel for municipal clients. Our staffing services include administrative support, clerical, accounting, payroll, billing, accounts payable/receivable, purchasing, human resources, supervisory roles, utility services, water and wastewater plant operations, property and general services management, building and landscape maintenance, parks and recreation, and senior and community services. FCS specializes in municipal privatization through a task-based approach aimed at improving productivity and efficiency.
JOB SUMMARY:
This position will be responsible for working closely with the Communications staff across all departments on all pr/marketing campaigns for the City of Pembroke Pines. Incumbent is to ensure efficient, accurate and effective communication to residents of Pembroke Pines and businesses via social media platforms and YouTube. Attendance outside of “normal” city hours is required. This includes but is not limited to: City of Pembroke Pines events, meetings or workshops may warrant attendance to gather photos and/or videos on weekends or in the evening and possible EOC staffing at City Center during a weather event.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:
· Generate, edit, publish, and share engaging content daily (i.e. original text, photos, reels, shorts, videos, news).
· Manage and create social media marketing campaigns in collaboration with staff, oversee social media accounts’ design, and develop relevant content topics to reach the city's residents and businesses.
· Work with City staff in various departments creating effective social media posts/campaigns; collaborate with staff and create and upload videos on YouTube.
· Live stream meetings and special events when needed.
· Analyze the City’s social media strategy, identify strategic weaknesses, and make frequent recommendations for improvements; and set key performance indicators for social media campaigns such as targets for certain number of shares or likes to increase exposure to residents/businesses.
· Any other duties assigned
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS:
- College/University degree in Communications or related field (preferred)
- 5 years of proven work experience in social media and visual media preferred.
- Experience producing YouTube short and long form clip videos with hands-on experience in content creation, editing and management.
- Strong knowledge of and skills for current and emerging social media and audio/video technologies, live streaming, multimedia communications and engagement monitoring/analysis – ability to track key metrics using analytics tools and create reports to refine future efforts.
- Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
- Significant independent judgment and self-motivation with attention to detail.
- Strong multi-tasking capabilities under pressure.
- Effective time-management skills.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:
· Frequent use of hands to operate and control office equipment such as computers, phones, and other standard office tools.
· Occasional walking, standing, bending, or reaching may be required.
· May occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 30 pounds.
· The work is performed in a professional office environment with moderate noise levels and controlled temperatures.
· Driving may be necessary if the role involves attending events, meeting with clients, or traveling to different locations.
