What are the responsibilities and job description for the Garbage Truck Rider position at FACILITIES PERFORMANCE GROUP LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Rides on the back of the garbage truck on a pre-determined route to empty the trash cans located at buildings, airplane gates and other ramp locations at the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

- Rider is responsible for collecting garbage/foreign object debris (FOD)/trash in safe and efficient manner.
- When garbage truck is stopped, and driver has communicated it is safe to exit back of the truck, the rider will collect FOD/trash cans. Once collected, Rider will dump contents into the back of the garbage truck.
- Responsible to apply all safety practices to ensure that s/he is safe and stable on the back of the truck at all times.
- Responds to emergency calls for trash removal as needed.
- Rider will be exposed to all weather related elements, as the back of the truck is not enclosed.
- May be required to collect large items that will not fit into a standard FOD/trash can.
- Completes any daily paperwork that his/her position requires.
- Participates in ISO practices and embraces ISO principles and philosophies in the performance of principal duties and responsibilities.
- Responsible for any trash around can on ground and any trash in bags. Broom and dust pan may be used.
- Makes Safety the first consideration above all other responsibilities. Follows all safety rules and uses sound judgment for the protection of him/herself, co-workers, client personnel, client invitees, general public and property. Participates in safety training and attends safety meetings as scheduled by Supervisor. Also, responsible to report to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions or practices.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. A minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
preferred but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively interface and present information in
one-on-one situations to clients and employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Driver's License (Preferred but not Required)
