What are the responsibilities and job description for the CDL Driver position at FACILITIES PERFORMANCE GROUP LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Drives the garbage truck on a pre-determined route to empty the trash cans located at
buildings, airplane gates and other ramp locations at the facility.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Other duties may be assigned.
- Performs pre-inspection of exterior and interior of vehicle and makes any maintenance corrections in conjunction with his/her level of knowledge.
- Driver is responsible to keep the truck clean at all times.
- Responsible to apply all safety practices to ensure the rider is safe and stable on the back of the truck at all times.
- Responds to emergency calls for trash removal as needed.
- Must fuel the truck at the end of his/her shift.
- May perform minor maintenance such as airing tires or other minor items detected during pre and post trip inspections. Notifies manager and mechanic of any issues.
- May be required to exit the vehicle to collect large debris.
- Completes any daily paperwork that his/her position requires.
- Participates in ISO practices and embraces ISO principles and philosophies in the performance of principal duties and responsibilities.
- Responsible for any trash on ground around cans and any bagged trash that is around the trashcan.
- Makes Safety the first consideration above all other responsibilities. Follows all safety rules and uses sound judgment for the protection of him/herself, co-workers, client personnel, client invitees, general public and property. Participates in safety training and attends safety meetings as scheduled by Supervisor. Also, responsible to report to his/her supervisor any unsafe conditions or practices.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. A minimum of one year of related experience and/or training
preferred but not required.
Language Skills:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively interface and present information in
one-on-one situations to clients and employees of the organization.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or schedule form.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) and any other licenses and certifications as required by local and/or state jurisdictions.
