Custodian - Earlington

Facilities Performance Group is a privately held corporation based in Hernando, Mississippi. For more than a decade, we have been delivering excellence in facilities support services to clients in a wide range of industries, including aviation, utilities, education, logistics, and manufacturing.

Position Description:

Under limited supervision, Custodians are responsible for cleaning and maintaining public and private facility areas, premises of office buildings, restrooms, hallways, and all assigned areas.

Examples of Work:

• Clean and supply designated building areas (dusting, sweeping, vacuuming, mopping, cleaning ceiling vents, restroom cleaning etc.)
• Washes windows and mirrors.
• Takes out the trash and recycling.
• Wipes down and sanitizes surfaces.
• Follows health/safety rules and precautions.
• Adheres to company policies and procedures.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• Knowledge of commercial cleaning techniques and practices; safety precautions related to cleaning equipment
• Ability to perform above duties which may involve standing, bending, and kneeling for periods of time, climbing stairs.
• Ability to follow instructions; operate commercial cleaning equipment.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred but not required. A minimum of one (1) year of related experience in a similar service
related position preferred but not required.

Language Skills:
Ability to speak simple sentences, to read and interpret safety rules and to read chemical labels.

Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out simple one- or two-step instructions.
