What are the responsibilities and job description for the Facility Attendant - Lexington position at FACILITIES PERFORMANCE GROUP LLC?
JOB SUMMARY:
Monitor, report and perform work related to the safe and efficient operation of client facilities and equipment as assigned. Will include maintenance of grounds as needed. Requires knowledge of facilities and equipment operation which includes various systems. Performs hands-on duties such as those required by work orders concerning maintenance and repairs. Must be willing to perform tasks that may range from simple to moderately complex.
Extract, initiate and complete work order requests from work management system for maintenance and repairs.
- Maintenance of grounds, which may include snow/ice removal, mowing, trimming, weed spraying, etc.
- Lights-check and change light bulbs as needed, if problem is not corrected with bulb change, refer to maintenance.
- Perform moderately complex work or assist with work in connection with: inspections, repairs, maintenance, and mechanical/electrical/environmental compliance as directed.
- Assist in determining equipment or systems needing repairs or evaluating as properly cleared for safety concerns.
- Investigate trouble calls reported from customers. Determine if it is a minor issue, and if so, correct it. Major issues can be referred to Maintenance
- Assist in the remodeling of work areas including gathering furniture pieces, assisting in assembly, moving and set-up of systems furniture and modular office walls.
- Unstop toilets and drains with plunger only.
- Assist with minor painting including touch ups and small areas. Assist in larger painting projects working with maintenance technicians.
- Wall Mounting-hanging pictures, bulletin boards, displays, name plates or other similar items. Assembling bookcases, carts, file cabinets and other office type items as needed. Does not include the mounting or hanging of equipment.
- Maintain building clocks (changing time with daylight savings time).
- Schedule and complete maintenance request.
- Install systems furniture keyboard trays, complete minor repairs and install/repair/change cabinet locks and issue keys.
- Able to effectively use Microsoft Outlook for scheduling, calendar and emails.
- Assist caterers with carts for deliveries.
- Assist with dry cleaning deliveries to the 23rd floor. (LG&E Building on Main St.).
- Assist with internal relocations (providing and moving boxes, personal possessions and light furniture, file cabinets, printer stands, furniture, bookshelves and etc.)
- Keep tools, equipment, materials and work area clean and in orderly condition.
- Assist with corporate relocations (which could include refurbishing and cleaning furniture as needed).
- Minor repairs to furniture, but not including repairs to the mechanical mechanisms.
- Periodic cleaning of supply and return air duct diffusers and grills.
- Must have the ability to lift, carry and move heavy objects, including tables and chairs.
- Escort visitors in cyber security areas as required.
- Support the Facility Operations Supervisor in all daily facility operations.
- Support all maintenance operations as needed/directed.
- Assist employees with deliveries/picking-up materials from loading dock.
- Maintain recycling bins on the loading dock and schedule pick-ups and deliveries.
- Identify/sort/distribute mail/parcels/packages as needed.
- Interact with internal customers on a daily basis, providing two way communications from the Facility Operations Office and internal customers and providing valuable customer feedback to the Facility Operations Supervisor.
- Forklift operation is standard in the delivering of materials; the attendant shall possess a valid forklift operator safety trained license or be willing to acquire through Contractor paid training.
- Monitor and report conditions of grounds outside; parking lot, perimeter fencing, transformer storage areas and pole yard, surveying for damage, possible theft, vandalism, and aids in upkeep. Performs appraisal of condition, reporting any suspicious activities and/or abnormal conditions and initiates corrective responses twice weekly.
- Coordinate/Convey all necessary Waste Management service tickets and waste tracking documents between truck drivers/security officer and responsible office parties inside the building; filing as needed.
- Effectively maintain Material Safety Data Sheets that are the responsibility of the Facility Services Department. These include the janitorial and maintenance departments. Ensuring up-to-date information; organizing and adding additional information as required.
- Assist with layout of assembly/conference room set-ups for meetings, events, catering, and emergency situations, assisting in the arrangement of tables and chairs, occasionally electrical and data extensions to satisfy the purpose of the prepared set-up.

Education and Experience:
High school diploma or a general education degree (G.E.D.) preferred. Related trade school certification or a minimum of three (3) years of related experience within the last five (5).
Language Skills:
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals. Ability to complete assigned work orders using written communications. Ability to speak effectively with clients or employees of organization.
Mathematical Skills:
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals. Ability to compute rate, ratio and
percentage.
Reasoning Ability:
Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several
concrete variables in standardized situations.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
All licenses and industry certifications as required by local and/or state jurisdictions.
Other Skills and Abilities:
Ability to operate all trade tools and equipment.
