JOB DESCRIPTION
Insight Global is looking to hire a Lab Support Specialist for a top client in the AR/VR industry. The Support Engineer’s responsibilities will be to support physical network connections, image computers, and interface with vendors. This role will also require knowledge of cabling network racks and will require some repetitive tasks. They will operate as a point of contact for assigned tasks being the focal point to escalate and address the needs of the customer. The Support Engineer will monitor subtask activity, assign customer tickets, and work with cross functional partners to ensure timely and successful delivery of support tickets and project implementations according to timeline and deliverables.
Responsibilities include:
- Working within the client's task system
- First point of contact for break fix Engineers
- Work with cross functional partners and vendors to support physical building network infrastructure.
- Responsible for assisting with projects (retrofits, new process documentation, etc.)
- Understand and debug hardware and Linux OS and Windows related issues.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- 4 years of experience in an IT support and/or Lab support role
- Knowledge of Linux and server hardware support.
- Knowledge of networks and related hardware support.
- Experience with network configuration, computer imaging and troubleshooting networking issues.
- Programming using Python
NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- Experience working with lab equipment such as Instron machines, power supply, etc.
JOB INFO:

- Hourly Pay: $40-$60 per hour
