Overview

Face Rock Creamery is seeking a motivated Production Supervisor to lead daily operations in our artisan cheese manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for overseeing production staff, ensuring food safety and quality standards, and maintaining efficient workflows in a fast‑paced environment. The ideal candidate combines strong leadership skills with hands‑on knowledge of manufacturing processes and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise daily production activities on the factory floor, ensuring efficiency and accuracy in meeting production targets.
• Lead, train, and motivate team members, fostering a collaborative and safety‑focused work environment.
• Enforce sanitation and safety protocols, conducting regular inspections and ensuring compliance with FDA, state, and company standards.
• Collaborate with Quality Assurance to maintain product integrity and address discrepancies promptly.
• Maintain accurate production records, shift reports, and equipment maintenance logs.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying inefficiencies and implementing solutions.
• Communicate effectively across departments to ensure smooth coordination of production, packaging, and distribution.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in a manufacturing or food production environment, preferably dairy or cheese.
• Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage diverse teams.
• Familiarity with food safety regulations, GMPs, and HACCP standards.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot production equipment.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift and carry up to 60 lbs safely.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring standing and walking for extended periods.
• Manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and machinery.
• Flexibility to work varying shifts, including weekends or evenings, as needed.
