Busy Distribution center is seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper
This individual will be responsible for posting customer payments by recording checks and credit card transactions. The ideal candidate must have excellent customer service skills in order to contact customers and effectively resolve billing problems and reducing A/R delinquencies. In addition, is responsible for creating and maintaining complex Excel Spreadsheets that details the A/R posting for specialized accounts.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Post Customer Payments by recording check and credit card transactions
- Contact customers to resolve deductions, short paid invoices and disputes
- Forward P.O.D. and copies of invoices to customers when required
- Enter detailed notes in customer files pertaining to every customer contact
- Generate and forward A/R Statements to customers upon request
- Make collection calls as needed
- Prepare and maintain Excel Spreadsheet of A/R posting for specialized accounts
- Responsible for customer account (Vendor) A/R reconciliations
- Create invoices in Key Customer Account Portals
- Issue Credit Memo as directed
- Prepare and process bank deposits swiftly and securely
- Review and approve pending orders to ensure smooth processing
- Other duties as assigned by Management
Required Skills
- Advanced mathematical and logical deduction skills
- Moderate to advanced Excel skills V-look up a must
- Demonstrated ability to research and analyze financial data
- Full knowledge of a double entry accounting system
- Experience with monitoring and managing aging accounts
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills with excellent follow-up skills
- Excellent time management, organizational and prioritization skills
- Must possess moderate to advanced computer skills with proficiency with Excel, Word and Outlook
Required Experience
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience as a Full Charge Bookkeeper
- Must have Intermediate to Advanced Excel Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated ability to work both autonomously and as part of a team
Salary : $70,000 - $73,000
