Major Distributor in Westchester, NY, has a need for a Credit/Collections Manager. In this role, you will take charge of customer credit limits, payment collections, recording checks and credit card transactions, overseeing the accounts receivable ageing and managing the credit profiles of our valued customers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Efficiently post customer payments by accurately recording checks and credit card transactions.
- Proactively resolve issues by communicating with customers regarding deductions, short-paid invoices, and disputes.
- Strategically implement account holds to mitigate risk and protect company interests.
- Maintain meticulous records by entering detailed notes in customer files for every interaction.
- Generate and distribute accounts receivable statements to customers promptly upon request.
- Take initiative by reaching out to customers with past due accounts to facilitate timely payments.
- Assess and determine the creditworthiness of prospective customers to foster sound financial relationships.
- Review and approve pending orders to ensure smooth processing.
- Create and maintain comprehensive Excel spreadsheets of accounts receivable postings for specialized accounts.
- Conduct accounts receivable reconciliations for customer accounts.
-Prepare and process bank deposits swiftly and securely.
-Process daily credit card transactions, ensuring compliance and accuracy.
- Adapt to new challenges by performing additional duties as assigned by management.
