Fabri-Quilt is seeking a Mender to be part of our growing company. The Mender has to be detailed-oriented, a team player and has previous industrial sewing experience. This position will be responsible for cutting, sewing, and overseeing the quality of quilted material rolls. Fabri-Quilt offers a great family environment, flexibility, and great work culture.
Job Responsibilities
- Operate sewing machine to restitch defective patterns, lengthy breaks, or long runs in quilted rolls.
- Oversees and examines quilted rolls for tears or defects in sewing.
- Track all repair activity on a log sheet.
- Continuously meet efficiency and safety standards for the position.
- Follow instructions as directed by supervision.
- Perform other tasks as required.
Skills/Qualifications
- Knowledge of standard sewing practices.
- Must have a minimal 6- months of industrial sewing experience.
- Excellent hand/eye coordination and manual dexterity.
- Ability to follow both written and verbal instructions.
- Capability to work independently in a team environment
Education:
- High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.
