Sector: Mission-Critical / Data Center Campus Construction

About the Company

We are seeking a highly accomplished, forward-thinking Senior Project Manager to help spearhead the execution of a multi-billion dollar, multi-phase hyperscale data center development in Arkansas. This landmark project represents a generational investment in regional digital infrastructure, featuring massive megawatt capacities, advanced closed-loop cooling technologies, and complex civil engineering challenges.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will possess an excellent track record of delivering large-scale, high-density industrial or mission-critical builds from initial site-prep and core/shell development through to successful client handover. You will serve as the primary operational leader on-site, managing trade partners, enforcing world-class safety standards, and maintaining competent control over multi-million dollar budgets and fast-tracked schedules.

Responsibilities

Project Execution & Operational Leadership

  • Direct all daily on-site operations for massive core, shell, and infrastructure phases, ensuring work aligns strictly with rigorous engineering specifications and client standards.
  • Maintain, analyze, and optimize critical path schedules. Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in materials, labor, or sequencing to prevent downstream delays.
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Control Director and Commissioning personnel to ensure structural integrity and MEP infrastructure readiness match advanced computational design tolerances.

Financial & Contractual Governance

  • Oversee the comprehensive project budget, managing cash flow, processing high-volume change orders, and ensuring cost control across major bid packages.
  • Evaluate project risks continuously. Develop and execute aggressive mitigation strategies to handle complex logistical, environmental, or supply chain disruptions.
  • Negotiate terms and manage performance for top-tier trade partners, ensuring high productivity, compliance, and accountability.

Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication

  • Serve as a transparent, authoritative point of contact for tenant representation and ownership groups, providing clear, data-driven progress updates.
  • Lead intensive weekly progress meetings with design teams, chief engineers, and field superintendents to maintain total alignment on deliverables.

Safety & Culture

  • Cultivate an unyielding culture of safety on-site, ensuring absolute adherence to comprehensive incident-prevention programs and regulatory protocols.

Qualifications

  • Proven Experience: A minimum of 10–15 years of progressive construction management experience, with a definitive track record as a lead Project Manager on large-scale industrial, or mission-critical projects ($100M value). Direct experience with data center builds is highly advantageous.
  • Deep comprehension of structural steel, complex concrete structures, high-voltage electrical infrastructure, and high-density mechanical cooling systems.
  • Exceptional team builder and decisive negotiator characterized by a professional, candid communication style. Capable of driving accountability across hundreds of personnel in high-pressure environments.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a highly related technical discipline. PMP or CCM certifications are strongly preferred, but not essential.
