What are the responsibilities and job description for the Project Executive position at FABR GLOBAL?
Project Executive – Hyperscale Data Center
Location: Vernon, TX
Compensation: $225-250k base attractive benefits
Position Overview
A prominent general contractor is seeking a Project Executive to lead a massive hyperscale data center development in Vernon, Texas.
This project is a major build for a leading global technology client, featuring a Tier IV-engineered campus utilizing a "Power First" architecture. Co-located directly with dedicated clean energy assets via AES Corporation, the site is designed to support a targeted IT load up to 850 MW. Due to regional climate constraints, the campus relies on a sustainable waterless air-cooling design that completely eliminates operational water consumption for server cooling.
As Project Executive, you will hold ultimate operational, financial, and safety accountability for the entire lifecycle, from initial groundbreaking and civil works through complex MEP fit-out to Level 5 integrated system commissioning and final client handover.
Core Responsibilities
1. Ground-Up & Civil Infrastructure
- Direct massive grading, excavation, and structural deep foundation elements engineered to support high-density dead and live loads.
- Coordinate directly with power partners (AES) and utility entities to manage the construction, testing, and energization of dedicated on-site high-voltage substations, switchyards, and transmission lines.
- Oversee the erection of structural steel frames, precast concrete paneling, and highly secure building envelopes.
2. Internal MEP & Systems Fit-Out
- Lead the procurement, installation, and testing of heavy industrial electrical infrastructure, including Medium Voltage (MV) switchgear, backup generator yards, automated transfer switches (ATS), and high-capacity UPS topologies.
- Supervise the deployment and balancing of large-scale industrial air-cooling units, air handling systems, and advanced hot/cold aisle containment structures.
- Ensure precise execution of Building Management Systems, Electrical Power Monitoring Systems, and critical fire suppression/VESDA arrays.
3. Commissioning & Handover
- Direct exhaustive Level 4 (Component/System) and Level 5 (Integrated System Testing / IST) scripts, ensuring flawless performance under black-start simulation.
- Manage the technical transition and quality punch-lists between construction teams, the client's Global Data Center Engineering group, and incoming facility operations.
Key Qualifications
- Minimum 10–15 years of construction leadership, with a definitive track record managing mission-critical/data center projects valued at $500M or campuses exceeding 100 MW.
- Deep, demonstrable knowledge of complex medium-to-low voltage distribution systems, heavy industrial air handling, and automated control frameworks.
- Experienced in managing transparent reporting structures directly with Fortune 500 tech clients, local authorities (Wilbarger County), and utility stakeholders.
- Full-time, hands-on leadership presence required on the project site in Vernon, TX.
Salary : $225,000 - $250,000
