Fabhar Corporation is looking for Purchaser with a metal fabrication background who can juggle multiple responsibilities at once and make important decisions in fast-paced environments and is ready to hit the ground running. Relevant experience in Metal Fabrication from rough to finish is preferred.

- Conducting research on potential products, vendors, and services, and comparing price and quality to ensure the best deal for Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals and consumable products.
- Experience reading and compiling “Bill of Materials” for Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals and consumable products.
- Prepare Purchasing reports, cost comparisons, etc.;
- Updating all records of purchased products.
- Good computer skills (Excel, Microsoft Word and ComputerEase is a plus) with critical thinking skills.
- Research, select and purchase quality products and materials.
- Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate with them for the best pricing.
- Inspecting purchased products upon delivery and reporting any issues timely.
- Tracking and coordinating lead time and backordered material.
- Understanding material grades [import, domestic with Material Certificate] for Structural Steel, Miscellaneous Metals and consumable products.
- Liaising with delivery and warehouse teams to ensure goods are received.
- Assess quality of stock received and escalate any discrepancies to suppliers and management
- Monitoring inventory and writing orders to refill stock.
Full Time Position - Pay is $20.00 to $24.00 a hour; Pending skill levels
