POSITION & SCOPE
Fabcon is seeking a driven and results-oriented Business Development Manager to accelerate revenue growth through direct sales efforts. This individual contributor role will focus on identifying, acquiring, and expanding relationships with key customers in precision sheet metal fabrication and technology-enabled box-build solutions. The ideal candidate is a proactive hunter with a track record of building new business and expanding share of wallet with existing accounts.
The Business Development Manager will play a pivotal role in pipeline generation, customer acquisition, and strategic account growth. This role requires collaboration with internal teams including Operations and Engineering to ensure customer needs are met with high-quality solutions and to support Fabcon’s long-term growth objectives.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Sales Execution
- Identify, pursue, and close new OEM and contract-manufacturing customers in high-growth verticals requiring Build-to-Print Assembly (BTP A) support, such as data centers, energy storage/power distribution, and medical devices.
- Prospect and secure industrial customers whose products are mandated or regulated by law, regulations, or procurement policies.
- Manage the full sales cycle, from lead generation and qualification through negotiation and closing.
- Build and nurture long-term relationships with large existing customers to expand Fabcon’s share of wallet.
- Act as the primary point of contact in customer meetings, presentations, and contract discussions.
- Account Growth & Strategy
- Develop and communicate Fabcon’s value proposition to customers, emphasizing unique capabilities and proven track record.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Operations to ensure product offerings align with customer needs and market trends.
- Provide market feedback to support pricing, new product development, and commercial strategy.
- Maintain and update CRM with accurate pipeline, forecasting, and account information.
- Analytics & Reporting
- Track, analyze, and report on sales activities, pipeline health, and revenue results to the sales leadership team.
- Use market and customer insights to recommend pricing strategies that support margin growth.
- Monitor competitive landscape and industry trends to identify new business opportunities.
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- 5 years of progressive sales experience in manufacturing, with a proven ability to secure and grow large/key accounts.
- Demonstrated experience selling into data centers, energy storage/power distribution, or other critical markets relevant to Fabcon.
- Familiarity with sheet metal fabrication and electromechanical box builds is highly desirable.
- Track record of success managing long sales cycles and complex customer requirements.
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage customers at multiple organizational levels.
- Highly motivated self-starter capable of working independently while collaborating cross-functionally.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- Willingness to travel up to 25%.
