Reports to: Director of Quality
Fabcon is seeking a hands-on Quality Manager to lead quality systems, drive continuous improvement, and ensure consistent product and process excellence across operations. This role is highly visible and embedded in the business, partnering closely with engineering, manufacturing, and leadership to strengthen quality discipline while enabling growth.
The ideal candidate is a practical, floor-oriented quality leader — someone who can balance structure and rigor with speed, problem-solving, and real-world manufacturing constraints.
DUTIES RESPONSIBILITIES
Quality Leadership & Systems
- Own and continuously improve Fabcon’s quality management system (QMS).
- Ensure compliance with applicable standards (ISO 9001; others as applicable).
- Lead internal audits, corrective actions, and preventive action processes.
- Drive consistent documentation, procedures, and quality controls across shifts.
Continuous Improvement
- Champion continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing operations.
- Apply Lean, Six Sigma, and root-cause methodologies to reduce defects, scrap, and rework.
- Partner with operations and engineering to improve process capability and yield.
- Establish metrics, dashboards, and KPIs to track quality performance.
Manufacturing & Shop Floor Engagement
- Be a visible presence on the production floor across shifts.
- Support quality engineers and inspectors in day-to-day execution.
- Troubleshoot quality issues in real time with production teams.
- Balance quality rigor with production efficiency and customer commitments.
Team Leadership
- Lead and develop a small on-site quality team (including quality engineers and inspectors).
- Support staffing and coverage across shifts (including second shift as needed).
- Set expectations, coach performance, and build accountability.
Customer & Supplier Quality
- Serve as a key point of contact for customer quality issues and audits.
- Lead customer corrective actions and root-cause analysis.
- Partner with suppliers to address quality issues and improve incoming quality.
SKILLS EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- 6–12 years of progressive quality experience in manufacturing, growing in responsibility over time.
- Prior experience as a Quality Manager or Senior Quality Engineer.
- Strong background in metal fabrication, machining, industrial manufacturing, or a similar industry.
- Experience leading continuous improvement initiatives (Lean / Six Sigma preferred).
- Experience building or stabilizing quality processes during periods of growth.
- Bilingual in English and Spanish is a plus.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field.
Salary : $80,000 - $115,000
