Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Mechanical and Electrical Assembler to join our manufacturing team. This role involves assembling machine components, wiring, and testing mechanical and electrical components and systems for industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in reading mechanical and electrical drawings and schematics, schematic interpretation, and mechanical assembly, with experience working with various power tools and precision measuring instruments. Duties
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to assemble mechanical and electrical components accurately.
- Install electrical wiring, control panels, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs) in accordance with specifications.
- Use hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to ensure proper mechanical assembly and fit.
- Ability to fabricate and modify parts as needed for assembly using welding, machining, or fabrication techniques a bonus.
- Test completed mechanical assemblies for functionality and electrical assemblies for continuity and functionality using testing equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area adhering to safety standards.
- Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing teams to troubleshoot issues during assembly processes.
- Operate industrial equipment such as forklifts when necessary for material handling.
Skills
- Proficiency in reading schematics, blueprints, and technical diagrams.
- Experience with electrical wiring, control systems, and programmable logic controllers (PLCs).
- Knowledge of mechanical machining, welding, fabrication a plus but not a requirement.
- Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments.
- Understanding of industrial equipment operation and safety procedures.
- Ability to interpret technical documents related to electrical and mechanical systems.
- Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in assembly tasks.
