Deskside Support Technician - New York, NYStart Date - Jan 2026Ongoing AssignmentLocation: New York, NYSchedule: Onsite, 5 days/week (some evenings/weekends during peak periods) Role OverviewThe Deskside Support Technician provides hands-on technical support for a premier retail landmark location within a luxury brand environment. This role focuses on day-to-day IT support, device management, and point-of-sale technology, working closely with senior technicians, regional IT teams, and external partners.The ideal candidate is customer-focused, technically capable, and comfortable supporting retail operations in a fast-paced, onsite environment. Key ResponsibilitiesTechnology Support & Service Delivery (40%)Provide onsite technical support for endpoint devices including PCs, Macs, mobile devices (iOS/Android), printers, phones, and peripheralsSupport Point of Sale (POS) systems and related retail technologyAssist with software installs, updates, and basic troubleshootingEscalate complex issues to senior technicians or vendors as neededInventory & Automated Systems Support (25%)Provide hands-on support for automated inventory systems (training provided)Partner with remote vendors and senior team members during troubleshootingPerform routine system checks and assist with basic reportingHardware Deployment & Requests (15%)Set up and deploy laptops, desktops, printers, POS devices, and payment hardwareCoordinate hardware installations with vendors when requiredDocumentation & Process Support (10%)Follow established procedures and knowledge base documentationAssist in updating guides, work instructions, and troubleshooting documentationCustomer & Partner Communication (10%)Communicate clearly with store teams and IT partnersTrack incidents and requests to resolution within defined SLAs Schedule & AvailabilityThis role is fully onsiteShifts may include evenings or weekends, especially during holiday or peak retail periodsA Tuesday–Saturday schedule may be required during the holiday season Required Qualifications2–4 years of experience in IT support, deskside support, or service desk rolesExperience supporting Windows 10/11 and macOS environmentsFamiliarity with Office 365 toolsBasic experience with Active Directory user and device managementStrong customer service and communication skillsAbility to follow processes, document work, and manage multiple tasks Preferred QualificationsAssociate's or Bachelor's degree in IT or related field, or equivalent experienceExperience supporting POS systems or retail technologyFamiliarity with mobile device management (MDM) toolsBasic command line experience (PowerShell or similar)Exposure to video conferencing tools and collaboration technologyAwareness of networking concepts (Wi-Fi, IP addressing, switching) Additional InformationAll candidates are encouraged to apply, but many positions require a strict drug and background check by our customers.F2OnSite supports and adheres to all state laws regarding background checks.This position requires specific work hours to be adhered to.
