We are seeking a professional manager with a Class B Wastewater Certification to serve as Project Manager, overseeing the operations of the wastewater treatment system and operations staff in Southeast Michigan. The ideal candidate will also support our team and embody our core principles: have fun, do what we say we’re going to do, and understand and meet our customers' needs.
The ideal candidate is certified, experienced, and has strong personnel leadership and management, process control, budgetary, technical, mathematical, and mechanical skills as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities:
- Oversight of our contract operations group and field operations staff
- Maintaining positive client relationships
- Compliance reporting of state and EGLE regulatory requirements
- Management of budgets and CIPs (Capital Improvement Plans), laboratory sampling, and record keeping
Skills and Qualifications:
- Minimum 6 years of experience
- Must be able to work effectively with clients, staff, management, and regulators
- Knowledge of wastewater treatment system operations, including OSHA regulations
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Strong wastewater plant maintenance and operations experience
- Strong laboratory experience
- Asset Management, Budgeting, and Capital Improvement Planning experience is a plus
- Prior experience in contract operations is a plus.
- Michigan Class B Wastewater is preferred.
- Municipal water Operator Certification is desired.
- Ability to read maps and blueprints.
- Valid driver's license and safe driving record required.
