Exterior Sales Consultant - Roofing, Siding & Storm Restoration

About the Opportunity

FM Exteriors is expanding our sales team across the greater St. Louis and Metro East regions.

We specialize in residential roofing, siding, gutters, storm restoration, and exterior home improvements.

We're seeking motivated, relationship-driven sales professionals who enjoy meeting homeowners, identifying opportunities, and building a successful book of business.

Unlike traditional roofing sales positions, our Exterior Sales Consultants work within a structured operational system supported by dedicated estimating, project readiness, quality control, and project delivery teams.

You focus on developing relationships, generating opportunities, and closing sales. Our operational teams help move those projects toward successful completion.

What You'll Do

• Generate new business through prospecting, referrals, networking, and neighborhood outreach.
• Conduct residential roofing, siding, and gutter inspections following company safety and training standards.
• Identify storm damage, exterior deficiencies, and home improvement opportunities.
• Educate homeowners about insurance restoration and retail improvement solutions.
• Present estimates, communicate project recommendations, and close sales.
• Build lasting homeowner relationships through professional communication and consistent follow-up.
• Maintain accurate customer records, inspection documentation, and sales activities in JobNimbus CRM.
• Collaborate with estimating, project readiness, and project delivery teams to ensure smooth project transitions.

What We're Looking For

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in roofing, storm restoration, exterior remodeling, or outside sales.
• Proven ability to prospect, develop leads, and close business.
• Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Familiarity with residential construction or insurance restoration.

Don't have roofing experience?

We welcome motivated candidates with backgrounds in automotive sales, home improvement, construction, or other relationship-driven sales industries. Industry-specific training and operational guidance are available.

Requirements

• Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable generating new business.
• Professional communication and customer service skills.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to conduct residential exterior inspections safely within company guidelines.
• Willingness to learn company processes, documentation standards, and CRM procedures.

Compensation & Earning Potential

• Annual base salary: $20,000
• Commission: 6–8% of qualifying contract sales, subject to written compensation terms.
• Illustrative annual earnings: $65,000–$80,000 at $750,000 in qualifying annual sales, assuming full commission eligibility.
• Annual sales expectation: $750,000.
