Responsibilities
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing systems in residential, commercial, and industrial construction sites using hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to execute precise plumbing layouts and system configurations.
- Perform pipe threading, welding, and fitting tasks to ensure secure connections and compliance with safety standards.
- Collaborate with construction teams to coordinate plumbing work with carpentry, HVAC systems, and remodeling activities.
- Conduct inspections of plumbing installations for quality assurance, adherence to codes, and mechanical integrity.
- Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot issues efficiently during installation or repair processes.
- Lift heavy materials safely while following proper ergonomic practices; assist with remodeling projects as needed.
Qualifications
- Valid state-issued plumbing license or certification demonstrating professional competency.
- Proven experience in construction plumbing, including pipe threading, welding, and schematic reading.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to plumbing systems, HVAC integration, and building codes.
- Skilled in using hand tools (wrenches, pipe cutters), power tools (drills, saws), and heavy-duty equipment safely.
- Familiarity with blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and basic math calculations for measurements and quantities.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail on complex projects.
- Prior experience working on construction sites with a focus on remodeling or commercial projects is preferred.
