Moran is growing our BIM Department and seeking a Plumbing Coordinator who knows how to get the job built right – in the model and in the field. This position is perfect for someone with plumbing field experience who’s ready to apply that knowledge to coordination, modeling, and layout work in Revit and Navisworks. You’ll play a key role in ensuring our plumbing systems are fully coordinated, clash-free, and ready for fabrication and installation.
You Are:
- EDUCATED: Field plumbing experience or a strong understanding of construction practices in the mechanical trades
- EXPERIENCED: Previous experience coordinating Plumbing systems and 3D modeling with Autodesk software, including Revit, AutoCAD Fabrication, and Navisworks
- KNOWLEDGEABLE: Industry knowledge with understanding of BIM and plumbing systems and codes.
- SKILLED: Mathematical aptitude with ability to read and understand architectural and engineering plans, construction contract documentation, structural and mechanical drawings, and process and instrumentation diagrams
- METICULOUS: Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities with high attention to detail, thoroughness, and accuracy
- PASSIONATE: Continuous learner, invested in finding the best solution; you see projects through to fruition; your work truly matters to you
What You’ll Do:
- ORGANIZE: Coordinate and manage 3D plumbing models in Revit for general trade coordination and construction
- LAYOUT: Produce preliminary models and designs from engineering drawing designs, working closely with engineering and modeling staff
- PREPARE: Illustrate shop drawings and point layouts for field installation and prefabrication
- COLLABORATE: Collaborate directly with project managers, foremen, and field teams to resolve design conflicts
- COMMUNICATE: Interact with team members to understand project requirements, goals, design specifications, and operational environments
