Design Manager
Do you have a deep passion for design and a proven ability to lead projects from concept to completion? Are you excited about leading creative teams, collaborating with stakeholders, and delivering designs that make a lasting impact? As a Design Manager, you’ll take ownership of design strategies, oversee multiple projects, and play a pivotal role in shaping the identity of our communities.
What You'll Do:

Develop, maintain, and monitor Project Design and Entitlements schedule(s) to ensure all elements are coordinated, and timelines are met.

Conduct initial due diligence for new projects, including but not limited to zoning, building codes, local ordinances, and relevant design/construction.

Monitor overall project budgets and review cost estimates to ensure alignment with scope and quality. Address misalignments proactively and communicate resolutions.

Collaborate with members of the project team to facilitate the assessment and execution of projects at all phases of design.

Support the bidding process in collaboration with the Preconstruction and/or Construction Manager.

Assess the viability of new project opportunities, including municipal zoning analysis, site assessments, development of test fits, compilation of metric data, and preparation of RFP information as needed.

Organize and maintain the document management system for project information in electronic and physical formats.

Coordinate internal reviews with Development, Construction, and Management teams.

Evaluate new technologies, software, and best practices beneficial to project execution.

Collaborate with internal construction, management, and development team members to assess opportunities for process improvements.

Conduct site visits, attend OAC meetings, and serve as Owner’s Representative during construction to ensure the Owner's input is reflected in RFIs, submittals, change orders, etc., as needed.

Stay ahead of design trends and industry innovations, continuously bringing fresh and creative ideas to projects.
What Makes You a Great Fit:
- A bachelor’s degree in design, engineering, or a related field is required.

You have 5 years of experience in design, engineering, architecture, or related roles.

You’re an inspiring leader with strong project management skills and the ability to oversee multiple design projects.

You have an exceptional eye for design details, spatial planning, and aesthetics.

You’re proficient in design software such as AutoCAD, Adobe Creative Suite, SketchUp, or similar programs.

You’re a clear and confident communicator, capable of collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.

You’re organized, detail-oriented, and thrive in managing complex projects with shifting priorities.
