Responsibilities
As a Controller, your key responsibility will be to serve as a vital team member associated with accurately and consistently completing the accounting functions for Industrial Electric, Inc.
- Supervise the day-to-day functions of accounting staff and develop internal controls for budgeting, billings, collections, etc.
- Process monthly, quarterly, and year-end account reconciliations.
- Review all contracts for correct billings, cash and credit management, and reserve levels.
- Complete bi-weekly non-union payroll and review deductions and liabilities for appropriateness.
- Monitor and analyze all financial activities, prepare financial statements, projections, budgets, and other ad hoc reports required by Senior Management and/or regulatory agencies.
- Conduct and coordinate audits of company accounts and financial transactions ensuring compliance with established internal controls.
- Conduct bi-weekly meetings with the President(s) and provide cost projections, cash flow, billings, and other relevant information.
- Analyze financial details of operations to identify opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Remain current of organizational policies, current accounting standards, and state policies and directives.

- A bachelor's degree in accounting or related field
- 8 years of relevant experience.
- A combination of a degree and experience will be considered.
- CPA preferred.
- Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Excel, Microsoft Word, and various other accounting software.
