We’re Hiring: Laboratory Technician

📍 1312 38th Street, Brooklyn, NY | Full-time | On-site

Ezra Medical Center is looking for a detail-oriented, dependable Laboratory Technician to support daily laboratory operations and help provide timely, accurate results for patient care.

Schedule: Monday–Thursday, 1:00–9:00 p.m.; Friday, 8:00 a.m.–2:30 p.m.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe laboratory.
• Perform daily quality control checks for in-house testing.
• Keep laboratory logs and patient records accurate and up to date.
• Assist with diagnostic testing and communicate results to providers promptly. Escalate alert values immediately.
• Prepare and route specimens to reference laboratories, including separating specimens, matching them to requisitions, and confirming pickup.
• Ensure laboratory results are documented in the patient’s chart and transmitted to the EHR.
• Report required laboratory values to the Department of Health.
• Process the NextGen Rosetta holding tank.
• Monitor inventory and check supplies for expiration dates.
• Respond to laboratory-related calls and mail.
• Assist with quality assurance activities, audits, and documentation.
• Follow Ezra Medical Center’s compliance program, policies, procedures, and standards of conduct.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Laboratory Technician or in a related role required.
• Friendly, professional communication with colleagues and patients.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow established procedures and protocols.
