Project Manager

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee heavy civil construction projects from pre-construction planning through project completion. This role is responsible for managing project schedules, budgets, subcontractors, suppliers, logistics, and field operations while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, within budget, and in compliance with quality and regulatory standards.

The ideal candidate will have strong project management experience in heavy civil construction, excellent organizational and communication skills, and the ability to coordinate multiple stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage heavy civil construction projects from buyout and planning through final completion.
• Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and construction timelines.
• Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel to ensure efficient project execution.
• Manage project logistics, material procurement, and resource allocation.
• Monitor project progress, identify risks, and implement solutions to keep projects on schedule.
• Review construction drawings, specifications, and contract documents for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate inspections and ensure all work meets quality, safety, and regulatory requirements.
• Track project costs, prepare progress reports, and communicate project status to leadership and clients.
• Expedite critical project activities and resolve field issues as they arise.
• Maintain effective communication with clients, vendors, subcontractors, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Proven project management experience in heavy civil construction.
• Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, and cost control.
• Experience coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, inspections, and project logistics.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
• Solid understanding of construction safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and construction/project management software.
