Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Information Technology Manager to oversee the organization's technology infrastructure, user support services, cybersecurity initiatives, and IT asset management across multiple hospice operations. This is a full-time hybrid position based in San Diego, CA, with a mix of in-office and remote work. Typical work hours begin at 7:00 AM PST to support East Coast operations.
The IT Manager will ensure reliable access to technology resources while maintaining system security, HIPAA compliance, and operational efficiency. This individual will serve as the primary point of contact for technology support, system administration, and strategic IT planning for both office-based and remote employees.
Key Responsibilities
- Configure and deploy new user accounts, hardware, software, and applications for employee onboarding.
- Manage IT asset inventory from procurement through retirement.
- Provide virtual and onsite technical support for all IT-related requests.
- Maintain and support hardware, operating systems, phone systems, printers, computers, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure systems and data storage comply with HIPAA requirements through secure access controls, encryption, backups, and vendor oversight.
- Manage software licensing, user access, and onboarding with a cost-conscious approach.
- Conduct regular security assessments and maintain strong cybersecurity standards.
- Support strategic IT initiatives and continuous process improvements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5 years of IT experience with a strong background in troubleshooting and end-user support.
- Expertise with Windows, Microsoft Office 365, Cisco Meraki, and a broad range of IT systems and tools.
- Knowledge of HIPAA, HITECH, and healthcare compliance requirements.
- Strong customer service and communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
- Experience in healthcare, financial services, or private equity environments is a plus.
- Willingness to work in a hybrid environment based in La Jolla/San Diego, CA, with occasional travel as needed.
- Availability to provide support outside standard business hours when required.
Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
