Position Summary
The Director of Development (DoD) is a senior leader who strengthens and grows the financial engine of Ezekiel Ministries. This role oversees annual giving, events, sponsorships, major gifts, and grants to support approximately $1.2 million in annual revenue. As a member of the Executive Leadership Team operating within the EOS model, the DoD serves as a “player–coach,” managing a personal donor portfolio while guiding the systems, strategies, and volunteers that sustain long-term growth. This is a relational, outward-facing role for a self-starter who builds trust, inspires generosity, and expands community investment in Ezekiel’s mission.
Primary Responsibilities
Annual Fund & Events
• Lead and execute the annual fundraising plan with quarterly targets.
• Manage annual donor portfolio; ensure donor acquisition, cultivation, stewardship, and retention.
• Oversee all fundraising events; recruit/equip volunteer hosts and committees.
• Secure sponsorships/underwriting; partner with communications to align campaigns.
Major Gifts ($10,000 )
• Manage portfolio of major gift prospects.
• Qualify prospects, cultivate relationships, solicit gifts, and steward/renew support.
• Partner with Executive Director on high-capacity relationships.
Grants Management
• Collaborate with ED and contract grant writer to identify grant opportunities.
• Provide needed program/budget info and ensure reporting/compliance.
• Track deadlines and grant calendar.
Strategy, EOS Leadership & Financial Accountability
• Own key KPIs: revenue, donor growth, retention, major gift activity, event performance.
• Make objective portfolio and prioritization decisions.
• Support long-term financial capacity building.
Volunteer Fundraising & Ambassador Leadership
• Recruit, equip, and mobilize volunteer fundraisers and table hosts.
• Train volunteers to fundraise relationally and confidently.
• Build simple, repeatable systems for volunteer success.
Leadership, Values & Culture

Qualifications
Required:
• Demonstrated nonprofit fundraising experience.
• Confidence asking for financial support; strong relational intelligence.
• Organized, deadline-driven, metrics-oriented.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
Preferred:
• Christian nonprofit experience, EOS familiarity, volunteer committee leadership.
• CRM/database proficiency.

Salary : $65,000 - $85,000
