Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for a Design Engineer located in Clarinda, IA. The Design Engineer will be responsible for product design and development, creating technical drawings, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet quality standards and regulatory requirements. Additional responsibilities include prototyping, testing, improving existing designs, and producing proper documentation for manufacturing processes. The Design Engineer will also contribute to project planning, problem-solving, and innovation in creating high-quality and cost-effective patient care solutions.
Qualifications
- Proficient in CAD software for technical drawing and 3D modeling
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on mechanical systems
- Experience with product design, prototyping, and testing
- Understanding of manufacturing processes and materials selection
- Excellent project management, communication, and collaboration skills
- Ability to work on-site in Clarinda, IA
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field
- Experience in the healthcare or medical equipment industry is a plus
