Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced Retail Sales Associate to join our CBD store team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in retail sales, excellent customer service skills, and familiarity with product demonstrations and merchandising. Bilingual abilities are a plus to effectively serve a diverse customer base. This role involves engaging with customers, promoting products, and maintaining the store's visual presentation to ensure an inviting shopping environment.
Duties
- Greet customers warmly and provide exceptional customer service
- Assist customers in selecting products and provide detailed product demos when necessary
- Operate POS systems efficiently for sales transactions, including cash handling and cashiering duties
- Upsell products to maximize sales opportunities while ensuring customer satisfaction
- Maintain proper merchandising and stock levels by stocking shelves and organizing displays
- Conduct regular inventory checks and assist with stock replenishment
- Ensure the store remains clean, organized, and visually appealing
- Use effective phone etiquette when handling inquiries or follow-up calls
- Support supervising staff with training or guiding new team members as needed
- Promote a positive shopping experience through excellent communication skills
Requirements
- Proven experience in retail sales, preferably within a grocery or specialty store environment such as a grocery store or similar retail setting
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash handling, and retail math calculations
- Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively and professionally
- Experience in product demos, upselling, merchandising, and stock management
- Supervising experience is preferred but not mandatory; leadership qualities are a plus
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving a diverse clientele
- Basic math skills necessary for transactions and inventory management
- Knowledge of phone etiquette for professional communication
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
