Production Supervisor – Automotive Salvage & Recycling
The Production Supervisor is responsible for supervising daily production operations within an automotive salvage and recycling facility. This role focuses on leading production staff, maintaining safety and cleanliness standards, managing workflow efficiency, and supporting inventory accuracy and equipment operations. The Production supervisor works closely with management to ensure production goals are met while promoting teamwork, accountability, and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise, motivate, and develop production team members
- Maintain facility cleanliness and ensure work areas meet safety standards
- Manage daily production schedules and performance goals
- Oversee automotive salvage and recycling processes
- Operate heavy equipment including loaders, forklifts, and crushers as needed
- Audit and record inventory levels to ensure accuracy
- Conduct equipment inspections and coordinate maintenance activities
- Enforce company policies, procedures, and standard operating practices (SOPs)
- Support hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management of staff
- Collaborate with management to improve workflow and operational efficiency
- Work standard Monday–Friday production hours with occasional overtime, weekends, or holiday shifts as required
Qualifications
- Leadership or supervisory experience in production, manufacturing, recycling, or industrial operations
- Strong commitment to workplace safety, teamwork, and customer service
- Mechanical aptitude and knowledge of automotive parts and systems
- Strong organizational, administrative, and multitasking abilities
- Experience operating industrial or heavy equipment
- Basic computer proficiency including Microsoft Office and mobile tools
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift up to 50 lbs, and work in varying weather conditions
- Reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in automotive salvage or recycling operations
- Experience maintaining heavy equipment such as loaders, hydraulics, forklifts, or tow motors
Work Environment
This position operates in an outdoor and industrial production environment involving heavy equipment, automotive materials, and fast-paced operational demands. Safety compliance and teamwork are essential to success in this role.
Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
