Job Overview
We’re looking for a sharp, motivated Car Buyer to keep vehicles flowing into our U-Pull-It yard. In this energetic role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers looking to sell thier junk vehicles, guiding them through the entire process with enthusiasm and expertise. This role is part sales, part logistics, and part relationship-builder. If you know cars, can negotiate with confidence, and aren’t afraid to make quick decisions, this job’s for you.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with prospective car sellers through outbound/inbound calls, in-person interactions, and digital channels to generate interest and build a robust pipeline
- Build and maintain strong relationships with vendors and sellers
- Quote and purchase vehicles that fit yard inventory needs
- Evaluate vehicles for value, condition, and parts potential
- Dispatch tow truck drivers and coordinate vehicle pickups
- Negotiate pricing to maximize yard profitability
- Track purchases, titles, and required documentation
- Communicate closely with yard management and towing staff
What We’re Looking For
- Experience buying vehicles, working in salvage or auto sales (preferred)
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Comfortable making fast, high-value decisions
- Organized and detail-oriented
- Basic computer skills
- Valid driver’s license
