Assembly Production Technician builds high‑quality machinery by assembling parts and subassemblies, ensuring each unit meets performance, safety, and quality standards.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Gather required components, tools, and materials
- Position and align parts using templates, measurements, and assembly fixtures
- Assemble components and subassemblies, ensuring proper fit and secure fastening
- Inspect completed assemblies to verify they meet specifications
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly issues, escalating when necessary
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and report equipment malfunctions
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area
- Complete production and quality documentation accurately
- Support team goals by assisting with related tasks as needed
Core Competencies
- Strong mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Effective problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to read and follow assembly instructions, diagrams, and blueprints
- High attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Self‑motivated with sound judgment and practical decision‑making
- Ability to lift 50 lbs. or more
- Strong focus on safety and efficient use of resources
Qualifications & Education requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; technical training in automotive mechanics preferred
- Experience reading blueprints, technical drawings, and assembly documentation
- Working knowledge of controls, instrumentation, power tools, and mechanical inspection tools
- Background in manufacturing, equipment maintenance, or related technical fields
- Proven ability to troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to stand, walk, or sit for extended periods during production tasks
