Job Summary:
The Billing and Credentialing Coordinator is responsible for managing provider credentialing processes and ensuring accurate, timely billing to insurance companies. This role ensures compliance with regulations while optimizing reimbursement processes.
The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and knowledgeable in medical billing and provider credentialing.
Key Responsibilities:
- Verify, maintain, and update provider credentials with insurance payers.
- Submit and track insurance claims, ensuring accuracy and compliance with payer requirements.
- Resolve claim denials, rejections, and other billing issues promptly and efficiently.
- Collaborate with healthcare providers and insurance representatives to address and resolve credentialing or billing issues.
- Stay current with industry regulations, payer policies, and changes in billing requirements.
- Reconcile daily monies, process banking, and perform other duties related to billing
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to billing and credentialing activities.
Qualifications:
- Prior experience in medical billing and provider credentialing preferred.
- Strong knowledge of insurance claim submission and reimbursement processes.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and ability to ensure compliance with regulations
- Proficiency will billing software and Microsoft Office Suite.
