PAY RANGE: $46.82 - $63.99 depending on skills, experience, and education.

RESPONSIBILITIES COULD INCLUDE:
- Making preop phone calls to patients to review health history.
- Reviewing specific instructions for what patients need to do prior to surgery.
- Assessing and preparing patients on the day of surgeries for surgical encounters.
- Choosing and handling instruments and supplies during surgery.
- Setting up sterile area in preparation for surgery, helping the surgical team with gowns and gloves, and handing instruments to the surgeon.
- Developing a patient plan of care, reviewing preoperative assessments with patients, and managing activities in the operating room.
- Caring for patients immediately after surgical procedures and anesthesia.
- Requesting information from outside providers and synthesizing information using appropriate nursing judgment.
- Knowledge of health care laws, regulations, and nursing care methods and procedures.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Advanced knowledge of EMRs.
- Exceptional analytical and problemsolving skills.
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications.
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in California with the board of Registered Nursing (RN).
- Twoyears RN experience and oneyear O.R., preop, or PACU experience.
- Ophthalmic/plastics surgery experience (preferred).
