Our Pottstown office is looking to hire a full-time medical receptionist. This position provides on the job training which allow our employees to gain experience to move into other departments after 2 years. ECoP 's philosophy of hiring within.
The medical receptionist is an entry level position. Although, it is preferred for the applicant to have skills related to working at a medical office it is not required. ECoP are willing to train the right individual who possess the skills of wanting to learn, take detailed notes, and come to work every day.
As an entry level position those who work within the medical receptionist role will learn how to work with patients and problem solve any of their concerns. Over time you will learn various knowledge of medical insurances and billing. Also, learn to navigate our EMR system NexGen to schedule patients which eventually learn how to work in their medical record.
The Pottstown office is an extremely fast-paced office that has up to 10 providers who may rotate in depending on their surgery schedule. Our physicians care for various eye specialties which is unique in the eye care field.
The medical receptionist is responsible for patient customer service. They would answer phone calls, schedule appointments, check in and outpatients who visit the office. They would contact patients for any referrals and run insurance eligibility.
The ideal candidate must have customer service skills, work well with the 8 other receptionists, ability to multitask, detailed oriented, and able problem solve.
The hours at the Pottstown are Monday through Friday 7:30-5:30 PM. Tuesday the office is open until 8 PM. One evening shift is the in the rotation which equal out to once a month. Shift differential is provided.
Overtime offered and travel to another office may be needed if there is an urgent staffing issue at the Wyomissing office. Milage reimbursement will be provided to those who may volunteer to go to another office.
