What You'll Do:
- Provide comprehensive perioperative nursing care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation
- Collaborate with the surgical team to maintain efficient room turnover and ensure patient readiness for procedures
- Assist anesthesia providers during induction, monitoring for and responding to any patient emergencies
- Safely identify, label, and administer medications and solutions while documenting all care accurately
- Support orientation of new staff, maintain operating room readiness, and assist in leadership or charge nurse duties as needed
What We’re Looking For:
- Current New Mexico RN license required
- Associate’s degree or higher in Nursing
- Experience in an operating room or ambulatory surgery setting preferred but not required
- Strong knowledge of ophthalmic and plastic surgery procedures and aseptic technique
- Excellent communication, critical thinking, and prioritization skills under pressure
- Commitment to completing required annual LMS training and adhering to safety protocols
