JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Staff Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for candidates looking to build a strong foundation in accounting within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
In this role, you will focus on preparing journal entries, performing account reconciliations, and supporting the month-end close process. You will work closely with senior accounting staff to ensure the accuracy of the general ledger, investigate variances, and maintain well-supported account balances.

Hybrid work environment (2–3 days in-office per week, as needed)
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Prepare and post journal entries
- Perform monthly account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies
- Support month-end and year-end close activities
- Maintain accuracy and integrity of the general ledger
- Analyze account activity and investigate variances
- Assist in preparation of financial reports and supporting schedules
- Support audit requests by preparing documentation and reconciliations
- Partner with internal teams to ensure accurate financial data
REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE
- Foundational understanding of GAAP and how it applies to journal entries and account balances
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify and resolve issues
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (e.g., formulas, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.)
- Familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Microsoft Dynamics, SAP, Oracle) is preferred
- High attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and analysis
- Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills
- Proactive, self-starter with a willingness to learn
EDUCATION & TRAINING
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting (required)
- Minimum GPA of 3.8 preferred
- Internship or relevant hands-on experience in accounting or audit
- Exposure to financial close processes or reconciliations is a plus
