Position Overview
Platinum Services is seeking a motivated Field Technician to join the team. This is a full-time field-based opportunity with training provided, making it ideal for individuals looking to build a career in gas measurement and field operations. Veterans are strongly encouraged to apply.
The Gas Technician will be responsible for installing, calibrating, and maintaining gas measurement equipment while ensuring safety, compliance, and accurate field reporting.
Key Responsibilities
Gas Measurement & Field Operations
- Install and calibrate EFMs and other gas measurement equipment
- Perform gas sampling and collect field measurement data
- Conduct orifice plate changes and witnessing/proving on sales points
- Ensure gas meets customer specifications and operational standards
- Complete documentation, reports, and required paperwork accurately
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and regulatory requirements
- Report unsafe conditions and environmental concerns immediately
- Maintain strong safety awareness during all field activities
- Comply with federal, state, local, and DOT regulations
Equipment & Vehicle Maintenance
- Maintain company vehicles and tools in good working condition
- Handle equipment responsibly and safely
- Support operational efficiency and cost-effective work practices
Team & Communication
- Communicate effectively with supervisors, coworkers, and contractors
- Assist other departments or field operations as needed
- Continuously seek improved and more efficient work methods
Qualifications
Required
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Valid understanding of workplace safety and compliance practices
- Ability to work independently in outdoor field environments
- Strong communication and customer service skills
