Responsibilities:

• Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of the month end close, including preparation of journal entries, reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts and variance analysis of the financial statements.
• Assist with the development of the accounting reports and functionality of the company’s enterprise resource planning software, Sage X3.
• Conduct financial analysis and prepare supporting schedules required for internal and external reporting and for use in the preparation of the tax provision and tax return.
• Oversee inventory valuation, including tracking/valuing all materials, work in progress and finished goods at month-end.
• Oversee cycle count program and annual physical inventory count. Perform the review of inventory obsolescence and excess inventory in accordance with company policy.
• Support Sales Team with evaluating customer credit applications and determining appropriate credit limits based on risk and in accordance with company policy.
• Assist with preparation of the annual budget.
• Implement necessary financial and IT controls to ensure a strong internal control environment.
• Other related ad-hoc reporting and analysis as necessary.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Progress toward or completion of CPA preferred
• Proven leadership skills in team management and people development.
• Ten plus years of relevant experience, including strong cost accounting
• Experience in accounting for manufacturing industry a plus
• Experience in Sage X3 a plus
• Hands-on experience and knowledge of all aspects of accounting, financial analysis and planning including: forecasting, budgeting, cost/benefit analysis, cash flow analysis, cost reduction initiatives, capital evaluation and justification, internal controls.
• Expert analytical and Excel skills; able to manipulate high volumes of data
• Strong interpersonal and written communication skills, with the ability to effectively interact with employees of all levels
• Highly responsive to requests, with a high attention for detail and accuracy
• Must be self-motivated and able to work independently and as part of a team
• Must be flexible and able to multi-task in a time-sensitive environment.
